On the Stds I already voted for the pure sex of ebony but my second choice are those natural wood colors, and especially this walnut is very classy. This is a pic from an "earlier stage" of my GAS affliction. Now, there's not a Std in the group, but my point would still be I prefer the HC on the '61 design. Then there's always these for the novelty. Or what if you have no pg at all. This one though I flipped. It was fine it just didn't add anything unique to my stable. It looked much more TV Yellow on line, but when it showed up, it was more yellow yellow and the finish was about the same as the Fadeds even though it was termed "worn yellow". I bought it almost 2 years ago and held it for when my son graduated from grad school. Although I would have liked to keep it for a SB collection, the tone is too hard rock for me. I also now have a Silverburst Fender Std Tele FSR (MIM) but don't have any photos of it yet. Paid too much for it though cuz it was an "in store only GC" exclusive.
