Members Stooges_Fan
Would this be possible ? Any knowing of it being done, or photo's of such a thing ? I've always wanted an old jag, with 2 hums, and a floyd...
Members _pete_
How thick is a Jag body? If it's the same as a Strat (and I would think it is) it can be done. I put one on a Les Paul, a Jag should be way easier.
Members sxyryan
There will be people who frown upon that... I'm one of those people who think it's your stuff, make it work for you. I think Pete made the big point... the body thickness. Something makes me think Jags are kinda thin... but Iommi has an SG with a floyd so if you have skills, or know a good tech, I don't see why you couldn't get that done. Members lewzer
My only concern would be the scale length. I wonder if the 24" would cause problems...

Members Fission Hole
If you're modding an existing guitar, those who would be pissed off at you would be less pissed if it's a Classic Player or a tune-a-matic/stop bar equipped HH model that gets routed for a trem. The later would leave you without the weird hole behind the Floyd and would already be cut for 'buckers.
Members aclarke
Closest I've seen: ESP XJ series (25.5" scale, not really a jag beyond the body style.)http://www.espguitars.co.jp/original/xj/index_end.html#xj62
Members vcnyls
Just looked and Warmoth only offers the standard Jag tremlo as an option. Might be worth calling them to see if it's possible.
Members BIGD
It's totally possible depending on how much work you want to do. I think the wood is the same thickness as a strat or tele. The main issue is the routing. It would be nice if Warmoth would do it for you. As for people "frowning upon it"..well, they can go {censored} themselves. I'm sure when 20 year old Eddie Van Halen went into a guitar store and asked in his weenie little voice "hey, Mr. music store employee, can I put a humbucker in a srat to beef up the tone", he was met with a lot of "frowning". "Stupid kid, why don't you just get a les paul like Jimmy P, MAN? A strat is a STRAT, MAN!! Now go play the same pentatonic blues licks Paige and Clapton play, you don't mess with a good thing." A guitar is a piece of wood with strings on it. People are really dopey. Unless you have some highly collectible instrument that will lose tremendous value, do what you {censored}ing want with your guitar!! I like les paul tone, but I hate the weight and the balance...so if I do everything I can to make my strats/teles/jazzmasters bridge position sound fat and thick, why does that upset some douche bag? Rant, over.
Members islesdon
I can tell you one thing. I never thought of a jaguar with a floyd before...until now!
Members wartoxin
What you start with is the jagmaster, it has a strat trem rout, then modify for FR. I'm sure there are some out there.
Members KightTemplar
Why not?If Jaguar can have 2 humbuckers, then why not also a floyd?I think the idea of getting Jaguar, mustang, and Jazzmaster a 2-bucker-floyd-24 fret-treatment is uber kool. Members Belva
I fail to see why it can't be done. If it's a collector piece I'd rethink this. But anything can be made to fit anywhere. Just ask Ron Jeremy.

Good point, Jagmaster's are cheap and the body seems to be decent quality..I have one.
Members Stooges_Fan
Great. Thanks guys. Yes, I would be looking to get an old one pretty hacked, or refinished, or already routed for a bridge bucker, and then add a floyd.
Members FoonkySteve
Love This idea! The ESP sunburst one looks cool to me! Im in!
Members Edward
Not my bag at all (a FR is one of my dealbreakers), BUT I don't see any practical reason why not. Go for it.
Members gtrhangar
If you do it, I'd love to see pics. I'm a huge Floyd fan and put them on both my Gibson Les Pauls, haha. You should totally be able to do it.

I'm sure there are some out there. Since you posted this, the wheels have been turning. In the new year when i get the cash together, i am going for it! Squire Jagmaster - sunburst. Warmoth Vintage Modern 1 piece maple neck/fretboard (i might go for the birdseye:love:) with black block inlays 22frets. Im gonna stick a floyd on that bitch, and throw on a Dtuna too! Pick ups - TBC, but im gonna go for coil taps on there too! Also Gonna stick a Vilex Jack booster on the input! FrankenJag!

Members thunder100
Why do you have to angle the humbucker?Too wide spacing for the Floyd? You like it this way? Roland
Members gitarplr1962
Actually, I really like the sound... I'll get something on youtube soon. I followed the example of the Stratocaster Bridge Pickup. Seems to give a beefy low-end. Just thought I'd try it, and I like it!
