Members dc*
Have a look at the updated Firebird X available in two new finishes: http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Firebird/Gibson-USA/Firebird-X/The-Guitar.aspx Henry J obviously listens to feedback.... or maybe not. Must admit the best feature in my opinion is the return of the revolutionary volute, what a break through!

Members poolshark
I'd still hit it. Henry J obviously listens to feedback.... or maybe not. Must admit the best feature in my opinion is the return of the revolutionary volute, what a break through! And of all the complaints, that one seems the least reasonable. I WANT MY HEADSTOCK TO BREAK LIKE A REAL GIBSON, DAMMIT.
Members Badside
WAT???? Finally, the fretboard is extended to 23 frets, allowing the player to achieve a full, two-octave range with a bend. Cause you can't do that with 22 frets ... Members paul44
If Gibson had any sense they would have deleted this disaster from their website and never said another word about it. I mean,I'd totally forgotten about it until just now.
Members scottgd
Keep in mind the that gizmos in this guitar are warrantied for 1 year and 1 year only. After that it's your dime. I suspect any repairs will require very many dimes.
Members kayd_mon
Hope that guitar is loud enough to drown out the laughter.
Members SpaceProg
You'd think it'd be hard to mess up something as simple as a stick with strings on it.Think of the guitars that Gibson sells the most of. Looks to me like they're trying too hard to be all up to date and jazzy snazzy with their 'old fashioned' models. Those models have lasted as long as they have for a reason. Members gorebreath
I seriously encourage people to band together and boycott Gibson only buying used Gibsons from stores. They suck so much now.

Members Jimmy Chitown
The fingerboard has character with a slightly burnt maple look. The neck inlays are tilted parallelograms, with a very dark wood. The headstock has a classic Gibson dove wing shape, which is bound, and a Firebird-style truss rod cover. Wut? Members Jimmy Chitown
I mean, all respect to the guys on the production line, but it seems like up at the corporate office--they've got crack and K in the vending machine, and the coffee is laced with Absinthe and Wild Turkey. Members mnhhngbfs
the only thing i like about the FBX is the damn volute... every gibson should have one, then maybe you wouldn't have 9001 broken headstocks a month...
