Members billybilly
Gee, that affected me and usually things like this don't. He will be missed. I read the BBC report, does anyone know what he died of? He was only 58. He looked pretty rough though.

Members JohnnyRaincheck
Gary Moore playing Red House at that Strat Pack concert a few years ago was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxkzluURe7g

I definitely grew away from him but from my earliest days of playing, he was one of my favorites. My second favorite poster I had growing up was actually an enlarged photograph I got at Charley's Guitars in Dallas of Gary looking like a flat-headed midget with a bit of a condition and the absolute best/worst guitar face ever. I'll see if I can find the pic on Google.
Members noisebloom
The only time I got to see Gary live was in the mid 80s when he and his band opened for Rush. Solid show and a solid player. Sad day. Very surprised.
Members Dr. Scottie C
Shocked. Just for comparison - Eric Johnson is four years older than Gary is and Jimmy Page is eight years older. How does someone seemingly healthy and still has years of great playing to do pass away so early? Eric Johnson is 2 years younger, and looks spooky.Page is 8 years older and looks like Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire.
Members cbh5150
Saw Gary at the Wurzburg, Germany Rockpalast in 1985 on the RFC tour (with Tommy Aldridge on drums). Great show. Very sad to hear the news.

Not very flattering, I'm afraid, but I trust he'll forgive me. Again, best/worst guitarface EVER!
Members axegrinder
Wow I hadn't seen that one. Yeah and GM's guitar faces couldn't be topped by Jim Carey.
