Members hardtdc
Does $400 seem like a decent price on an 80s MIJ Tele Custom? I need to look it over to see what shape its in but I'm sure it has been a player's axe. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/msg/2227925829.html
Members ten56gibby
I'd say HELLZ YEAH!! Funny - I've got a Barden bridge on my '72 Custom as well. It's nifty.
Members rog951
Great deal if it's in any kind of decent shape.
Members chqtarzan
If it's in good shape it's an excellent deal!
Members fiveoclockhero
400 dollars is not a lot of money and I like that guitar a lot. Do, however, check to see first-hand (not in photos) what "a little banged-up" means before you finalize. For some, that phrase might mean minor buckle rash and scratches on the pickguard. For others, it could mean components are falling out or worse. Good luck!
Members Dan Acheron
Looks like a sweet deal! I would definitely go take a look at it!
Members *BLEEP*
I'd say $400 is top dollar if it's roughed up a bit (which is what it sounds like from the advert; keyword = "player's"). Otherwise, $400 would be a steal for any near mint condition MIJ Tele Custom.

Members fiveoclockhero
hit it! Reckless abandon when you're deciding to spend HIS money for him. We're more careful when it's our own.
Members ashtray
I'd buy it if it were local to me - if it passed my inspection.

Members Mister Crow
For me, whenever I see a guitar described as a 'player', I want to check on the fret life. I can live with bumps and bruises in the finish, but flattened-out and pitted frets are a deal breaker for me. It just affects the over-all playability and tone of the instrument so much, that even if it's a great deal, I walk away. $400 is pretty good deal, not great or jaw-dropping. Give it a try, but with the economy there are a lot of good deals on used gear these days.

Members akapuli
More or less OK price, depending on the actual condition.
