Members Mr.Grumpy Posted March 13, 2011 Members Share Posted March 13, 2011 A cheesy but pretty playable Japanese 'Orlando' 12-string. 99% sure it's Matsomoku (sp?) guitar. Jangly underwound single-coil pickups. Bolt-on, but with a laminated maple neck, similar to a Ric. The original trapeze tailpiece failed, it took me a while to find a 12 trapeze tailpiece. Electronics are a little sketchy on it, noisy switch and pots, or I'd probably play it more often. 70's lounge-guitar bling...dig all that fake mother-of-pearl. Tim Buckley played one of these, but I think he passed it over for a Rickenbacker 12 in the end, though I have not yet seen any photos of him playing the Rickenbacker?
