Members caveman
I bought a 3 way switch and pots for my tele from GFS. I decided to do the wiring like the sheet suggested. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/43/telewiringgfs.jpg/sr=1 It sounded thinner and lacked body in the mid position. My first thought was to blame the new parts but after changing it back to the wiring that I had previously used, it's big, full and bad again. http://millerguitar.com/images/wiring/tele_style.jpg The difference is amazing. I'm talking about the way it's wired after the switch.

Members mightysasquatch
1992 Fender American Standard Telecaster CTS 250K pots CRL 3 way switch .22uf Orange Drop cap Switchcraft jack Fender Vintage Noiseless pups Regular three way switching I am gonna switch the electro socket jack for a Les Paul style plate I think, and install a push/pull tone pot to get the Peter Green out-of-phase tone. I am also considering putting a mini-humbucker or Filtertron in the neck position, but I don't know if I wanna route.

Members jamdogg
I had it wired like this:Sounded fantastic. Alpha 250ks. Dont recall what the cap value is - its whatever they use in the CV teles.I recently installed this, except I have a tonerider humbucker in the neck:switch is a CRL 3-way. The volume pot is a Fender 500k push/pull. The tone pot is a 500k CTS. The cap is .033 paper in oil. I also put a 470k-Ohm resister from the volume pot to bridge position on the switch so that the bridge pickup sees ~250k instead of 500k.this setup works very well for me. Members jamdogg
That looks great, Jamie! Thanks Chris. I had to route out that hump in the control cavity to make room for the push/pull pot. Re-shielded it with the stewmac paint. Have you ever used that stuff? Works very well. Members Mr_GoodBomb
Right now? My Esquire is wired straight to the volume pot, then to the jack. I could never figure out how to get esquire wiring with the variants of tele switches out there. My other tele, I'm also rebuilding into an esquire.
