Members Flatspotter
I'm looking at a Godin xtSA, but can't find much info on the neck profile. Anyone own one, or a model with the same neck (LGX-SA, LGXT, etc.)? How thin (front to back) is the neck? Is it fat like a Les Paul 50s, thin like an Ibanez shredder, or something in between? I've been moving away from thin necks and gravitating toward thicker necks lately. Unfortunately, there aren't any stores nearby that have Godins in stock, so trying one in person is out. Members Alecto
The Godins tend to have a thinner neck profile, much like a 60's Gibson. Not huge, but still substantial.
Members Flatspotter
I have an LP with a 60s neck, and I'm fine with that, so if they're about the same size, that's OK.
Members germanicus2112
I used to own an xtSA and currently own an LGX-SA. Godin necks have a fairly wide feel, but not too fat. In between an ibanez and an old LP. Very comfortable.
Members chqtarzan
I had newer LGXT. Beautiful neck. Its neck is thin and wide enough comparing to shredders while being full when grabbing the neck. the fingerboard edge is rounded, ergocut, they call it. Members rock-lobster
I only own the progression which is a strat type guitar but the neck is thicker than any 60's gibson neck i've played.
Members Ancient Mariner
I have a 4-5 year old xtSA. The neck is thicker front to back than a typical strat, and around the same width. It's smaller than a 50s Les Paul but bigger than a 60s and quite similar in size to my JJ goldtop. Certainly quite comfortable.
Members AXEL276
I have an XTSA, the neck is thick like an acoustic guitar. Not really wide, but definitely thicker than my strats or my '70 LP.

Members Steadfastly
Thank you, gentlemen. My new xtSA will be here tomorrow. Congratualtions! That is one beautiful guitar. I would not usually pay more than $700.00 or so for a guitar, except for that one or the LGX-SA. Now you'll need a Roland GR-55 to go with it.
