Members twotimingpete
Is $150. That's not a lot more than the cost of the hardshell case. Wonder if anything's substantively different between the guitars in terms of quality of build and materials?
Members photon9
They're built to different specs, but I don't think ther is a huge difference. One might be better for one player and the other for another. It would be cool if they sold the Specials with the old contoured Fender cases. I love those things! Members honeyiscool
Many prefer the six-saddle bridge, don't forget about that. I do, for instance. It lets me put a Callaham or a Wilkinson on it pretty easily. Besides, Fender hard cases aren't all that.

I just don't think there's any significant difference other than appearance.

Members twotimingpete
Strat or Tele? either. Re. jumbo frets, what's it really feel like? I've never owned jumbos.
Members Floyd Rosenbomb
Jumbos are pretty nice, it's great for leads and doesn't hold you back with chords. It feels like bigger bumps of brail to read with your hands.
