Members DaveAronow
Two years ago, we played the Barton biker rodeo in Brooksville FL. There were a few thousand people in the audience. We went on a little after 9:00 pm. We didn't stop playing until after 4:00 am. The next morning. That was six and a half hours of non stop playing unless you count each member sitting out a song here or there to go pee. We did two more three hour shows as the next day went on. We played about 13 hours in less than a 24 hour period. This band regularly does three hour plus gigs with scheduled breaks but just skip the breaks entirely playing right through. We do that all the time. I have six shows scheduled this weekend. At least two of them will be four hours plus, continuous playing. We did over 250 shows last year. Dozens of them were over three hours continuous playing.
Members Willyguitar
Recently played an acoustic set as a warm up for our band, at my own birthday party (doh!). I didn't get to talk to any of my friends. It was 45 minutes acoustic, 20 minutes break, first set of an hour, break of 15, second set of an hour and 15. Members MyNameIsMok...
Six hours, one hour break. Plus warmup/jam session it was nine hours total of music (people swiched off for breaks). It was to celebrate Eddie Hazel's birthday. An all star band, and I got to fill in on bass (which was also hooked up to my guitar rig and pedalboard for maximum totat effect). I had hearing loss in my right ear for a few months after that and had to stick to acoustic projects to recover. Good times.

Members bloolight
For me, it was two three-hour sets with a long break in between. Played a full band gig outdoors in the blistering heat, then packed up moved to a wine bar and played a duo acoustic gig. With all the moving of equipment and sweltering weather, it felt like about eighteen hours instead of six by the time I was done. I don't think my playing the last hour was up to par... Members Mav64
Playing When The Saints Go Marching In endlessly on a float in a 2.5 hour parade. At one point I realized my pick wasn't in my hand and I started looking around for it and actually found it impaled on one of my stings! Never done that before....oh lookie! there I am! Members JonP
Bah... I dunno. 90 minutes, I think. I was in a band once that was going to play support for some band out of Austin that ended up a no-show. We were pretty young and only had maybe 50 minutes of material. We played everything we had, and half of the songs twice, then I think we ended up goofing our way through a few covers with the singer ad-libbing. It wasn't pretty. Members Roy Brooks
In about 1988 I played at a honky tonk in southeast Alabama for three nights. Friday was midnight to 7:00 AM. Saturday was 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM and Sunday was 10:00 PM to 3:30 AM.
Members =JL=
I used to play in casinos in northern France, five hours a night, four nights a week, starting at 10pm.I had to figure out weird chord inversion so I could use the fingers which weren't bleeding... Members Faber
8 hours. recently the cover band I'm in was asked to deliver not only our usual 4 X 50 min of music for a party but also music during the dinner. The pianist couldn't make it there in time, so I had to run through whatever chord melody arrangement that I had. That didn't nearly cover it, so there was a good deal of ad libbing - nobody cared or even noticed . So, four hour of ambient dinner musc and then 4 hours of dancable covers. Members ajympt
Longest time commitment with shortest playing time- we were supposed to be one of several at a benefit/auction/dinner thing - at the last minute the sound system fell through so they called us and asked us to bring our set up- at the time we had full active mains, great mackie board etc that was probably better than we warranted - we got there at around 2 in the afternoon - ran sound for all the bands and the auctioneer- we ended up being the last band to play at like 1 or something thats faded into memory- of course, by that time the guy that was going to run the board for us was drunk and actually wandered off and never came back We played roughly one set and thanked everyone and called it a night. It raised a lot of money for the family, and everyone had a great time, but we were good and tired by the time we got back to town.
