I've never worked with a more uncooperative piece of wood OR a more cantankerous color of paint before. Never again! Anyway, here's where it stands. The gold paint is on. For a little discussion, check these out. First, here's what the binding looks like after spraying and touchup. Pretty rough. After scraping... Better, but that gold just refuses to scrape cleanly for me. You have to be pretty close to see the rough edge. Is it good enough or do I need to redo it again? I'm not sure I can get it any better.
