Members Guitar Heel
Ain't no hill fer a climber! One of my Dad's favorite sayings. This is coming out great, especially considering that we weren't even planning on binding at first. I guess I'll need to track down the pickups and guts pretty soon... Members Elias Graves
When we last left our wayward SE, the primer was on and it was waiting for gold paint. Weather was unsettled the last several weeks...F5 tornado, anyone? The humidity dropped into the mid 60s and the temp in the shop is in the high 80s, so the time has arrived. Cue scary music. Here's the guitar with the primer shined, taped and ready for paint. Five minutes later... The plugged hole hasn't showed up yet but the still-high humidity is slowing the dry time. A second coat may or may not happen today. EG

Members Elias Graves
A few spots are a bit thin after one coat. Another light spray is needed but so far I don't see any major problems. That stuffs covers very quickly the whole gold coat you see is half of an 8 0z can. That stuff went on very thin. EG

Members DARKMETL/
Hmmmm, thought I heard the OP was getting a bit tired of the gold and was wanting to change it to silver. EG, is it too late to change from gold to silver?? Doesn't seem like it would be a big deal.

Members Elias Graves
Bite your tongue, jello! Pulled the tape off, retaped and shot a coat of clear Deft last night. Still no evidence of the plug reappearing. EG
Members Jarick
Looks much better, although the natural binding looks a little funky.
