Moderators ThudMaker Posted April 23, 2009 Moderators Share Posted April 23, 2009 I have a Godin Radiator to which I would like to add a tremelo bar. I'd like to minimize drilling, etc., so does anyone know what a direct replacement bridge is? Is there a direct replacement with the bar? If not, What's the recommendation? Is putting a Bigsby on this guitar difficult or too dumb?
Members ballhawk
I'd be interested in others comments about this too because I've thought about adding one to mine. Unless it's something like a Bigsby you are going to have to do some routing.

Members did concombre
Hi, I know this thread is old but by any chance, did anyone managed to add the vibrato bar to a godin radiator?
Members Ancient Mariner
There are several options, but all will require you to add a bridge, preferably with rollers. The bigsby is obvious and talked about above, but you could also consider these designs: http://www.guitarfetish.com/Vintage-Style-Surface-Mount-Whammy-Bar-Hofner-Vibrola-style_p_839.html A bit crude, but would be in keeping with the radiator vibe. http://www.guitarfetish.com/Xtrem-Vintage-Vibrato-System_c_373.html A much more elegant solution and likely more reliable, but heavier, more complicated and expensive. You could adapt a roller bridge like this for use, by removing the section that would hold the pickup in front of where the bridge posts are.http://www.guitarfetish.com/Xaviere-Tele-Roller-Bridge-for-Vibrato-System_p_4418.html
Members Wyatt
Not many trem options for hardtail Strat-style bridges with "minimum drilling". Even "maximum drilling" may be an issue since, IIRC, Radiators have hollow frames and may not have many places to anchor a Bigsby or something.
