With a gloss, not "satin" finish, I've read (here and there) that fingerprint marks show up more on black colored guitars. What has been your experience ? I just use a regular cloth that I will wetten a little with water every now and then. Though by now my guitar could probably do with some polish. Members DeepEnd Posted January 18, 2014 Members Share Posted January 18, 2014 My only electric is black and my "good" acoustic is a burst with black around the edges. I just use a clean, dry cloth, usually a t-shirt. I normally get a couple of drops of water on the acoustic when I put the humidifier in and in those cases again I use a clean dry t-shirt.
