Members y-o-y
This thread about Meg White got me to thinkin' about two-piece bands. Since a couple of you threw out your preferred duos (all hail clatter!), what are some other good ones out there? I know I like drums and keys of Benevento Russo Duo

Members Retrovertigo
+1 for the Duo How about....Flight of the ConchordsShould be an enlightening thread. I enjoy listening to duo acts, but the only ones I'm very familiar with are local artists.

Members catphish
I actually much prefer them without Mike Gordon. I saw them again, later with just the two of them, and it was still great, but not as good as GRAB IMO
Members bnyswonger
Although they use players - They Might Be Giants can be distilled down to John Flansburg and John Linnell.

Members El Glom-o
The Flat Duo Jets. They broke up some years ago, but when they were together, those two guys put out more energy than some bands I've seen with half-a-dozen musicians on stage. Crow is one of the most impressive drummers I've seen.

Interesting...and they both ended up on the Saturday Night Live band. That band, when GE was there was really tight. I loved it.

I loved it. Me, too. T-Bone used to write a column in Guitar for the Practicing Musician back in the 80's, and he helped me out a lot. And he was really great with Hall & Oates, IMO. Back on topic, I'll go ahead and mention Dos, since noone else has. Kira, formerly of Black Flag, and demigod Mike Watt, formerly of Minutemen and fIREHOSE. (This is the first time I've seen that bass in Kira's hands. Who can tell me what it is?)

Members Kakona
Agree, especially when the two of them are such icons. Seriously, which female bassist is cooler than Kira? The question is rhetorical, as no woman can touch her. We already know NOONE is cooler than Watt. That makes them the coolest possible couple in the bass kingdom. Members RSBro
They technically aren't a "band", but when Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds play just acoustic together, it's pretty damn awesome.
