Members JeffBass
I did ok, getting back 1900.00 + 600.00 in the "economic stimulus" money. That will help pay for my new gear! I already stimulated Dr. Bass, now I'm gonna stimulate Genz Benz or Carvin or Markbass or Mesa!
Members lug
More or less. You have to realize that we are the most liberal state in the Midwest, and our fiscal policies follow suit. Granted, it's not always stupid spending. People need to live somewhere, and there's a baseline of rental prices. I pay $525 per month for a one bedroom, which is pretty much unheard of in Saint Paul. I had to look long and hard for this place, especially since most efficiency/studio apartments cost closer to $600 a month. If someone is making $16k a year working at Chipotle full-time, they can't exactly say "well, I need to find somewhere to live that doesn't cost more than $400 a month!" Those places don't exist. I suppose they could always to the roommate thing, but that isn't always a viable option. It's Minnesota's limp-wristed and largely ineffective way to reconcile low wages and comparatively high housing costs. Kirby Puckett moved away before he died. I think he ran out of women to sexually assault in Minnesota. I don't believe Jesse Ventura lives here anymore either. Prince does, but no one ever sees that prick. So in essence, the rich pay the taxes that the gov uses to provide the poor a nice housing subsidy. Sweet sweet socialism in action!
Members Super_Donut_Man
Do you know how close you were? Only problem is the 2106 and a few other expenses are 2% limited, so you really gotta jack it on up there. Oh well, just a thought. I hate W2's for people with a passion for this reason... ZERO tax planning/opportunity. Sad. About 9800 off. We didn't have any deductions really, just a bit of charitable donations.

Members ezstep
For the first time in a decade, I am getting a refund, but that is because I added $400 a month to income tax when I got my last pay raise. Getting back $1300. ....and we'll get the $1200 "rebate" in May.
Members walkerci
When my ears stop popping I'll let you know. Sweet Jesus! And I am not getting a rebate either!
