Members nethanpaul
Hi all, *I think this is the right forum, but let me know otherwise I’ve got a 1957 tele (not the original owner ). Other than a refin a long time ago, and a pickguard replacement, it’s all original. The bridge pickup seems to be losing all its ‘oomph’. It’s registering at around 2.2 on a multimeter and after bringing it to a reputable local shop, it is their opinion that it will need to be rewound. Price not being an option: who is handing this sort of pickup rewind now-a-days? Thanks!
Moderators daddymack Posted April 14 Moderators Share Posted April 14 Price no problem? My first choice: Lindy! Last I heard, Lollar was not taking any new rewind orders. You could ask, though.
Members badpenguin
Fralin, yes good place. How about... I don't know.... FENDER? I am pretty sure they would rewind one of their own pickups from near 70 years ago.
Moderators daddymack Posted April 15 Moderators Share Posted April 15 I suppose nethan could try contacting the Custom Shop people there and ask, but I don't think they have offered rewinds for decades.
