Members bill5
It's featured in Don Henley's "Sunset Grill," as well as The Firm's "Someone to Love." It's I think largely technique (any particular name for it?) but wondering if there's a particular bass (or even a common MIDI bass setting) that is used? Members Luke17
Tony Franklin was the Bassist for ‘The Firm’ and he played a fretless Bass.which gave the band a unique sound.. Pino Pallidino was the bassist on Don Henley’s Sunset grill..he also played a fretless bass. so yeah, a particular bass...Fretless. Good ear OP. Also makes me add Tony and Pino’s name to the list of bass players who inspired me on my thread.👍

Phil O'Keefe
Fretless, when well-played (i.e. with good intonation) is such an expressive and great sounding instrument!
