Members Mark L Posted December 8, 2015 Members Share Posted December 8, 2015 Many, many moons ago I wrote a soppy love song, and I think the time is now right to breathe some life into it However, I don't have the gonads or life-experience to justify singing this song, so I was wondering if there were any good singers out there in SSS land who wanted to have a go At the following link you'll find a backing track. That's why I did a version with a 'guide vocal', albeit using a not-entirely-convincing flute sound The idea is to listen to the 'vocal', absorb it, and then record your own vocal to the unsullied backing track I do actually have a version of the song which I recorded on an antediluvian Teczon 4-track. I agree that the singer should have some leeway with the melody though. Might be kind of hard to fit all the lyrics exactly to your guide flute melody. I don't know, I'm not a singer but most of the ones I've worked with like to experiment a little with different takes and stuff. You have a great voice for rock.
