Members 1001gear
The original Kinman demos sounded plinky and harsh and I for one could not see wtf the fuss was. Now they're all over Youtube and guys have found ways to set the toan and play 'em (RULE ONE of single coil demos - REVERB, DELAY, WAMMY ) and they don't sound too bad. Members wankdeplank
Thx billy I always appreciate your objective rational approach. I can always rely on you not to let your ego sway your integrity and judgement. As you say it's a "compromise" or trade-off - you just can't have it both ways. And I completely understand how guys that make their living on the stage or play a lot of high gain would opt for the noiseless option.
Members AJ6stringsting
A tech put some switches on a Strat that had the Dimarzio HS 2 and HS 3 , I imediately fell in love with the tonal variety.I have Dimarzio Fast Track 2 's in all my Metal guitars, that are rated at 17k ohns, I'm going to add switches and get some more varieties out of my guitars. Members AJ6stringsting
It all comes down to tonal taste of individual musicians ears.

Members Tom Mc1
I dropped in a SD Everything Axe into a MIJ strat and it works beautifully. It has a Little 59 hum in the bridge, a Duckbuster middle and a JB Jr in the bridge. On my last build I installed the Lace Sensor red, white and blue set. I highly recommend either set. Members AJ6stringsting
I use a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster, right after my VHT Valvulator I.I can boost the single coiles volume up to 25db's, if needs be. There is a resonance switch, just incase there is need to increase the tonal girth.
