Members ChitownTerror
I want one. Badly. Who makes a decent firebird copy with 2 mini-'buckers, a maestro, and a price point that won't break the bank? Is it worth looking into importing a Japanese model from Orville or Tokai? Also, pictures:

Members ChitownTerror
Good enough? Yeah, if it wasn't for that middle pickup. I just don't like 3 pickup guitars for some strange reason.
Members Klisk
Doesn't Schecter make one? I can't tell, their website isn't operable right now.
Members hangwire
I like the non-reverse better, which is why I am building one... p-90 in bridge, lipstick in the neck. I need to bandsaw 2 small things [straighten out end point for trapieze bridge & shorten neck pocket] and then I can start paint and install. should be done soon

Members orourke
This Schecter is kind of a Firebird copy. I almost bought one, played it in GC for about two hours, but I've got too many guitars and my wife would kill me. I really liked it:

I almost bought one, played it in GC for about two hours, but I've got too many guitars and my wife would kill me. I really liked it: This is my current number 1. It is {censored}ing sweet. My final decision was between this and an Epi Firebird VII '63 RI. The Schecter won out when the sales rep told me that the maestro would ultimately become bent and unusable, so I decided that I would put my trust in a Bigsby. Members PFDarkside
I played that Schecter, sweet guitar. I love the vintage looks with Schecter playability. It felt really solid too.
Members ChitownTerror
One thing I never got straight, is the reverse the explorer looking one? Yup. The non-reverse looks kinda like a Fender Jaguar or Jazzmaster in body shape.

Members fuzzinator
The Tokai Firebird copies are very nice. I've played a couple. I really should have kept the 71 Gibby Firebird I had in the early 90s. Why oh why did I sell that.
