I like the DC-3 and own one but wouldn't personally stick it up there as best in show for Chorus because it's also a Dimensional effect rather than Chorus proper anyway. There is an internal trim pot that affects delay time (often called "manual" on flangers like the MXR and Boss). I desoldered it and wired it to a front-mounted pot as an extra control. It basically changes the frequency range of the sweep (the normal "Range" knob does this as well, but with this new control I can get it to sweep much higher (almost like it's going to go through the zero point, but not quite), or a bit lower as well.
