I don't really think of them as something within the 'standard post-rock formula,' they are much more experimental/avant garde.Also, plus one on Fly Pan Am and anything by Phil Elvrum/The Microphones/Mount Eerie.Yes Set fire to Flames is indeed a Godspeed! side project. So i guess thats kind of standard post rock, but I really like their cd. The Grails are really good live I don't own burning off impurities but I love the name.
