The big problem is when all your favorite names have already been taken, usually by some side project band that will never release more than one album that only sells 20K units. Hilarity ensues, then pick the least hated name. thats usually what happens. also in my experience most of the band members will only come up with a few if any at all. one will have a bunch that he thinks are brilliant and no one else likes and someone will have one that everyone agrees isn't too bad and eventually they love.
