Members steinwand Posted May 6, 2008 Members Posted May 6, 2008 so I'm in the market for a MKII I know D*A*M but ...i would like to have the bias control and 9v standard so I'm down to the Retroman Lola or the Phoenix Custom Rocketmaybe the SweetSound ProBender (with that i have to live without bias) anything else?
Members t_e_l_e Posted May 6, 2008 Members Posted May 6, 2008 byoc tonebender mk II clonediy or buy a pre built.has internal trimpot for bias, is 9v and you get two sets of transistors you can try out if you want. i love mine, was my first built, still on my board http://www.buildyourownclone.comsee for international distributors, you need to get a kit via a webshop in the netherlands
Members steinwand Posted May 6, 2008 Author Members Posted May 6, 2008 never thought about that ... thanks alot
Members jgyn Posted May 6, 2008 Members Posted May 6, 2008 I have, and like, the BYOC Mk II clone.Another good one is the Throbak Stonebender.
Members pinkzep52 Posted May 6, 2008 Members Posted May 6, 2008 Monsterpiece MkII altough I heard it's more like an Mk1.5. I don't know the difference between the two
Phil O'Keefe Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I've been GASing for a Tone Bender for a while too... not sure what one I want to get either. PS Someone has a Throbak in the spam thread, and I was thinking about asking about it... but I'll give you dibs on it if it's of interest to you.
Members Idlewilde Posted May 6, 2008 Members Posted May 6, 2008 The Wyllie Wylo has a Bias. It doesn't have a 9V but you can drill a small hole and route cable in there. I personally prefer batteries.
