Members AnderMocs
Do you just flip the little switch above the footswitch to activate a loop? If so, that is the best programming system ever. I always assumed that the octaswitch had some big overcomplicated programming system.

Members Fender&EHX4ever
lol, no way...it hurt my head just thinking about what you are doing there already!! I had nothing else to do on my flight from Orlando to Indianapolis on Friday, so I worked up several drafts until I arrived at this plan. I can probably do without the "Arena Rock" bank. I want something more... esoteric
Members gambit
let us know how it works out. i've wanted an octaswitch for ages but could never justify the price. if i was playing live again i would probably need at least one of them! the only thing i'd want extra would be a dry/wet blend on each loop. let us know if there's anything you would improve once its all hooked up! Members Fender&EHX4ever
Okay, so now I realize that I might be the only one in this whole forum who is using an Octa Switch, and there won't be much participation in this thread any time soon. But I'm hoping that this thread will catch on like wildfire once everyone goes out and buys their Octa Switch. BTW, there is one for a good price in the SPAM thread: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showpost.php?p=29882731&postcount=97 Someone please buy it and post in this thread. Members Fender&EHX4ever
I've devised a new plan. After I drafted the first plan, I was bothered by always having the HOG at the front of the chain, and always having the SMMH at the end of the chain. It would be nice to switch them around sometimes, especially when looping, or using the freeze volume mode on the HOG. Enter the Labyrinth: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1709641 By using the Labyrinth as my central hub, I can easily switch around the signal chain order of 1) the HOG, 2) the Octa Switch, 3) the Holiest Grail, and 4) the SMMH. This way I can choose between these sequences: HOG > Octa Switch > Holiest Grail > SMMH HOG > Octa Switch > SMMH > Holiest Grail Octa Switch > HOG > SMMH > Holiest Grail Octa Switch > HOG > Holiest Grail > SMMH Holiest Grail > SMMH > HOG > Octa Switch Holiest Grail > SMMH > Octa Switch > HOG SMMH > Holiest Grail > HOG > Octa Switch SMMH > Holiest Grail > Octa Switch > HOG The Octa Switch will now only incorporate these boxes: Loops: A. Qtron + with Micro Synthesizer in the effect loop (or alt. Tube Zipper, vintage Zipper, Octave Multiplexer) B. Big Muff Pi C. Hot Tubes (or alt. - Germ OD) D. PolyFlange (or alt. - Electric Mistress, PolyPhase, Small Stone, PolyChorus, Flanger Hoax) E. Black Finger > Tube EQ F. The Worm G. The Wiggler (or alt. - Pulsar) H. Deluxe Memory Man Banks: 1. Clean: E 2. Crunchy Chords: C 3. Fuzz Lead: B 4. Echo: E/H 5. Chorus: D/E 6. Tremelo: E/G 7. Sixties Psychedelic: C/E/F 8. Seventies Funk: E/F I'll use the Mini-Mixer to incorporate the stereo outputs (or direct outputs). Here is a basic diagram of the rig: (the red double arrows represent effects loops) Here's an idea of the layout:

Members Fender&EHX4ever
lol, the perfect gigging set up!!! man that looks amazing, seriously!!! I could store all of the pedals in a rack system, ala Zachman, and just keep the TU-2, HOG foot controller, EXP-1, Volume Pedal, Labyrinth, Octa Switch, SMMH, Holier Grail, and the Hotfoot on the floor That would look pretty clean You do realize that I'll probably never actually set this monstrosity up I shudder to think of how many new cables I'd have to make.
