was trying to find my original thread and update it but i can't.

this is what i have done so far:

started out as a squire custom tele:

now i am waiting on some cloth wire, 4 cts pots, a 3 way switch, and a neutrik locking jack connector.

also planning to change the tuners at a later date and maybe the ferrules.

Wow, the wood grain on the body looks great!

Awesome that you discovered it under that black finish.

I didn't think they would use ash for the squires.

Can I ask what your stripping method was?

rotary sander and patience.

How about the neck?

And is that body solid 3 piece ash?

Ive been very curious about the squier thinline body

the neck was the reason i refinished it - it was a bit cheap feeling. but after a fret dress and new tusq nut and some lacquer it is feeling nice.

i thought the body was a veneer but having sanded a little too much (oops) i notice the grain goes through the whole thing. i think it is a three piece.
