Its a show on Animal Planet about the 'Sea Shepherd Conservation Society' which is headed by a guy who got kicked out of Greenpeace for being too aggressive. For the most part all they do is throw flower and acid(not corrosive, just foul) onto the ships, then when that doesn't work, they ram the whaling ship with their own. The law states that commercial whaling is illegal but a certain amount of whales are allowed to be killed in the name of science. What they should be doing is concentrate on closing the loophole in the law books rather than try to act like soldiers in the front of non-existing front line. They're one boat patrolling the entire Antarctic Ocean assuming any ship out there is a whaling ship so they attack it with glorified stink bombs. They claim research (which im sure they do some of, they do have scientists onboard and everything) but there is definitely no doubt that one of the motives is to put meat on the market.
