Do those black rubber covers on george L cables serve a purpose?

On the straight ends, they are definitely a strain relief. On the angled ends I think they help keep the end from getting unscrewed.


Oh, and if you think George L's suck, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah. I did it wrong for a year. Then I bought Lava's.... now I'm doing it right. :D:wave::cool:

there only mistake is not including a cable cutter with their cables, because everyone cuts them poorly and has problems... I cut one cable with a knife and that cable shorted out on me... i took the cable out, used a cable cutter and it works like a charm

 

 

 

 

 

 

PS nobody answered my question.... they just voiced their opinions.

scissors work fine. never had any problems at all.

 

cable cutter? right...:)
