Members NITEFLY182
I think he wants it to be rusty. Aluminum doesn't rust. It just oxidizes to a dull gray. You could try acid etching to see what that does.
Members warioblast
I edited the title. I meant "how to get a rusty effect."
Members Roc Sound
If you go to the hardware store, in the faux finishing section they have steel paint which you can put on and then they have rusting finish to apply over it. That's the only way to get a rust on aluminum...

Members Roc Sound
I've never used the steel paint as a base because most of the metalwork I do is steel. The rusting stuff works well. Just follow the directions.
Members jrkirkish
If by rust you mean Aluminum Oxide, you're in luck. It's already done. If by rust you mean Ferrous Oxide, get an iron hammond.
Members sommy
Get that textured Rust-o-leum spray paint. I think there's a rust one.
