Members John_McEnroe
I just picked up a malekko vibrato and it is distorting my signal when I play hard through it. Is this natural? Hopefully it's not and it can be fixed, if its natual I am going to have to return it. If anyone knows I would appreciate it. Cheers.

Members driverhasabomb
A lot of Malekko pedals seem to come with a surprise distortion effect
Members Estephan Rodriguez-Torres
Are you running it at 9V or 12V? Mine was a little noisey at 9, but sounds brilliant at 12. So try that if you can.
Phil O'Keefe
A lot of Malekko pedals seem to come with a surprise distortion effect I've got six of them, and not one of them has ever had a single problem. People tend to only hear about the ones that do / remember hearing about the ones that do.
Members Malekko
A lot of Malekko pedals seem to come with a surprise distortion effect This is a pretty dumb and misinformed comment. I already emailed this fella, I've heard this complaint before. Hitting the strings very hard will make it distort....pretty normal if you're running it 9V. As our website suggests, run it @12V and it wont do this. And as every email i've got saying this, i get another one saying "thanks, that works great" after they switch the PS.. Most 9V pedals will break up if you hit the strings hard....just sayin'
Members John_McEnroe
Yes Josh emailed me right away and let me know to try a higher voltage. (thx Josh). I'm going to try that tomorrow. Unfortunately I will have to weigh the pros and cobs of having a separate power supply just for this little pedal. It does sound brilliant though, and props to Josh for his great customer service.
