Members claytonjohn18
I always like sprucing up standard major/minor chords with added 9s. Clayton John knows dis voicing for a Dmajadd9. --0-- --5-- --2-- --4-- --5-- --x-- I like this one too, standard major/minor chords with a little jazz to 'em are always fun, I haven't played a standard major/minor bar chord in a while. Emajadd13 --9-- --12-- --9-- --9-- --11-- --0-- Discuss/Share. This thread is useless without p33 b0n3. Wait, that's a cool voicing, but what does it have to do with me? I showed it to you via Facebook one time, or that could've been someone else, though I was pretty sure it was you...
Members pbone
I guess that shape is movable and all, but on the Dadd9, you could always just leave the B string open and make it a D6/9. No reason to double the E. Or you could shoot for the C# if you have dexterous enough fingers.

Members pbone
This: --0----5----2----4----5----x-- Isn't a 7th, though. You'd have to do this: --0----2----2----4----5----x-- Which is pretty difficult to fingar but YOU CAN DO IT.

Members TomCTC
You'd have to do this:--0----2----2----4----5----x--Which is pretty difficult to fingar but YOU CAN DO IT. Take that shape, but make it a D dominant ninth shape instead, like so: --0----1----2----4----5----x-- Now thats a tough one to finger. haha. I forgot which one, haven't listened to blues wank in a while.I don't know? I haven't seen it but once or twice since I found it.It's nice for banging around chromatically or walking up the two highest notes a 1/2 step from the 7#9 chord.
