Members acousticDave
Single coils seeks midrange grit for leads: Looking for a box that will provide sustain for soloing without sacrificing clarity. Fizzy pedals need not respond. What's good?
Members scolfax
I wouldn't call it "grit", but you might want to check out the Skreddy Pig Mine.
Members bowlingshirt
Single coils seeks midrange grit for leads: The BYOC muff clones have a switch to change the characteristics of the mids so you don't get stuck with the typical scooped muff sound. Members drunkenguitar
Sounds like you need a Pig Mine. While not being a traditional big muff-type (loads of bass, scooped mids, high gain, etc.) you get a lot of clarity and a heavy dose of grit. There also happens to be a huge glut of them for sale all over the place. Good luck.
Members mrweems
Skreddy: Mayo / erniemy two favorite. two very similar fuzzes. but they have a little different character to them. Mayo = best big muff ever.Ernie = best big muff ever + massive low end and endless sustain.
