Members aplaneinphases
What pedals should I be looking at? Just needs to be able to do those synthy square wave blips apart from that. I really like the specs of the not-yet-available Dr Scientist Tremolessence but that is a while away. I know, I'm impatient.
Members brandnewzo
Wait, what? Dr. Scientist is revamping the Tremolessence for expression control?

Members brandnewzo
That is sick! As far as a suggestion to your question though, I had a big trem thread a while back where I asked for some recommendations, and a bunch of people pointed me towards the Moog Ring Modulator. I don't know if you could ever use any ring mod sounds, but the trem you can get out of those pedals is great. It's also got dedicated expression outputs on the back so you could control rate as well as LFO and some of the other knobs. It may be worth checking out
Members Somedayrockstar
What about the Cusack tap a whirl or empress? They have tap functions. The cusack has a brake functions that speeds it up and slows it down. I love it.
Members IRG
I think there are very few tremolo pedals with an expression pedal input for rate, but it's an awesome idea I've been wanting too, and glad to see Dr. Scientist is going to do this. The Empress doesn't have it, but you can toggle between a slow speed and a fast speed, which is kinda cool.
Members claytonjohn18
Worst case scenario, you can get one of those third hand pedals and use it for the rate..
Members ChuckNorris1982
The EHX Ring Thing can do tremolo with expression control over rate. I did a demo of it here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1065261
Members aplaneinphases
Hey that Ring Thing trem is pretty cool. Same with the Moog. I have been looking at ring mods also so those might be options. I'm actually now looking at 4ms or even the goatkeeper. 4ms does a pretty nice job at 214$ so might just go with that. Thanks for all the suggestions.
