Members ibentmywookie
I've read that Fender used to make an amazing set of baritone strings for their Sub-Sonics. They've since been discontinued...

Members SnorkelMonkey
I've had baritone gas for sometime now. I kind of want one with a Bigsby style vibrato. They are just way cool for that spaghetti western twang thing and even more if you can wang on them with a Bigsby. This is the source of my inspiration... Members SnorkelMonkey
my Bari-Tele is getting a TV Jones no bigsby though... I picked up a set of those Magnatron's (Setzer is rolling with one of those in the neck). Holy crap! Do they twang! Sound sort of like a cross between a P90 and filtertron. No hum and fat single coil tone.

Members TomCTC
Baritones are incredible. They're an off and on thing for me. I would slit a man's throat for the chance to own a Gibson EB-6.

Black lacquer should be relatively easy to find, even in Ireland I would think. However, black is one of the most difficult colors to paint - it shows every blemish and flaw in the underlying wood, so prep work - getting it smooth as a baby's backside - is crucial. Did you already get some tuners? What about the rest of the parts - the pots and switch, the knobs, strap buttons and the other five saddles? Members mr benn
Ha! Not yet phil, that lonely saddle was only there to check that the bridge had gone on straight when I strung it up :phil:I'm actually fitting graphtech ghost acoustic saddles and a preamplifier in there (hence the extra pickguard holes) I'm afraid I'll be getting the spraying done professionally, there's just no place to do it in my apartment
Phil O'Keefe
I suppose that's probably for the best... even in the summer, it rains too much there and the humidity is too high to try to spray it outside, then bring it inside to dry; which is basically what I did. California weather FTW.
