Members Faldoe
my 79 LP custom was a bit more than I'd usually shell out for a guitar - $1500 but its worn pretty good which I like, a mint LP custom would have been like twice that maybe. I have an SL special LP from 98' that I got when I was 13 and that guitar is {censored}ing awesome, plays and feels great. I think my pops got it for like $400 new at guitar center cause they were having some sale...

Members Jules-RM
Why buy a mediocre Gibby, when you can get an awesome Hagstrom? Both were around $400 each, upgraded the bridge pickups in each - but these are some great playing, ROCKING guitars.
Members Zooey
You should do what I did and pick up an inexpensive 70s-era ES-335. It should run you about $400. Step 1: time travel to 1988.
Members analogmike
I love Gibsons but one of the best Les Pauls I ever heard is an 80s Burny Super Grade played by Andy Latimer in Camel. Has me itching for a Burny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEraKBTjN6k

Members onewhiteduck
HOT! I would play that. But I probably wouldnt spend $2k on it. Thanks! I basically traded about $1500 in gear for it...it's a lifetime keeper though, I've only seen 2 identical ones online in Brunswick Blue sparkle and it's amongst the best playing/sounding Pauls I've ever felt. Members onewhiteduck
Ohhh yeah! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. This vid of Chord Change convinced me that Latimer's Burny tone is one of the best LP tones ever:http://video.mail.ru/mail/trespass63/4186/4221.html
Members triviani
I'm happy I bought my Studio Lp, with p90s, 11 years ago, it would cost me more than twice nowadays! That's the thing with Gibson, they have good stuff but the prices went up to Stradivarius levels
