24 channels?

 

If you can't set the level and the pan on 24 different recorded sets of sound that's not 'channels' in the recording sense, but in the mixing sense, which is I suppose what you might have meant all along!

I have 2 of these, and both are broken

I have arrived at the conclusion that cassette tape technology sucks. I dont recommend it. I have abandoned it for good.

 

that is the one i have but mine works absolutely fine. sounds horrible but works fine. perfect for lo-fi shit gaze et cetera.

I'm glad yours works. I wish mine would again. I have dozens of tapes of my musical history recorded on that damn thing. My favorite thing about it is using the EQ section to create filter effects on guitars. It is worth having a working unit for that use alone.
