HOCKEY! without a doubt. Only sport in the US thats not full of a bunch of pussies. as much as i like Hockey, to me, it never really comes off as a particularly "tough" sport.

actually listening to this record in toto & i have to admit 'Runway, Houses, City, Clouds" does sound Beatles-esque but then hell 'The Bold Arrow of Time' sounds like prog-rock era Pink Floyd so i think its all relative. i don't think 'Innerspeaker' is burden by its influences. to the contrary. the record transcends these influences and sounds very freshandvibrant and not dated at all-- & i love the drums on this. i hate when drums are buried in the mix.

yeah i don't know the reptutation of Modular. when i got into them they had a record out on Hole In the Sky. that's how i found out about them.

when i first heard/found out about them a couple of years ago they had a rawer sound but either way i think it still sounds good. oftentimes slicker production can really kill a bands sound but this has certainly not been the case for them & this neu album.
