Members plaidbeer
THE DEATH OF COOL, what a fkn amazing record... Saw them on that tour. Probably the best band I've ever seen live. They were in a small venue opening up for Suzanne Vega (wasn't there to see her).

Members OMTerria
Have not heard of them before, but they're totally on the list now . I'm always looking for more shoegaze
Members plaidbeer
I've looked around and the only info I've seen was that he used a huge pedalboard that was full of Boss pedals. Stuff like the CE-2, BF-2, PS-2, PH-2, DF-2. Haven't seen any pictures of said pedalboard and I'm sure he used multiple delays and reverbs, too, just not sure which ones. And he always used a Strat, even though he was shown with a hollow body in the promo vid for "Drive that Fast" (which, of course could have been for show). There's an interview with him here in this thread, but nothing is gear-specific:http://www.guitargeek.com/chat/complete-rig-27/kitchens-distinction-55663/
Members plaidbeer
Have not heard of them before, but they're totally on the list now . I'm always looking for more shoegaze I discovered them after seeing either "Drive that Fast" or "Quick as Rainbows" on 120 Minutes back in the day. Strange Free World is a great place to start, although their first album, Love is Hell, has some good songs, too. The Death of Cool was sort of a departure with some longer, mid-tempo numbers, but was every bit as atmospheric as SFW. Members A.P. Ryder
I've been on a Loop kick lately. May want to give them a listen, as well. Not sure if they are shoegaze, though. (What does it matter? They're great!).
Members renula
Loop kicks ass. Sinister, fuzzy, etc. The rolling stones had them opening their tour once if I am not mistaken. Also, Sonic Boom hates robert Hampson guts. He says he copied everything from Spacemen 3...

Members plaidbeer
i think adorable are wayyyy better at the shoegaze-pop kind of thing. I bought their best-of (Footnotes) and was sort of underwhelmed. Aside from "Sunshine Smile" I only really liked "Vendetta" and "Glorious". For those unfamiliar with Adorable (there's something messed up/edited down with this version):
Members Fender&EHX4ever
Serena Maneesh have carried the shoegaze torch quite well IMO. If you havent listened to Abyss in B Minor yet, you should.[video=youtube;I-IPw9mv-J4]
