Members A.P. Ryder
Mark Lanegan, right?Sounds intriguing, from what I've read. May have to get it.
Members Zappa74
First listen didn't grab me like a typical Lanegan album. But on the second play through, I loved it. It's impossible to go wrong with Lanegan + Alain. Good stuff. Desperately need a US tour. I saw Mark with the Soulsavers in 09 and it was incredible. Members LSDis4me
Looking forward to the new record. Got to see the Screaming Trees several times in Seattle during the grunge era. I still have the Soulsavers CD in rotation. Members Zappa74
Bubblegum is so good. I wish he got the credit and attention that he deserves. Yes. But it's still really really awesome to be able to see him in tiny little venues where it's completely dark except for a red light and people in the crowd are actually respectful. Members Zappa74
My favorite Lanegan album other than Bubblegum... [video=youtube;pwH9vdCxnlU] Production is slick for a Lanegan album, though it's still suitably minimal and really good. I think it's all cover songs but you'd never know from hearing Mark sing them. Bump because I fell asleep right after I posted this. I saw that same tour at the Troubadour in L.A. They had to play an acoustic show because their drummer left to join Cursive. It was an awesome show. I took my buddy who never really went to shows all that much but really likes Lanegan's voice. They covered "All Along the Watchtower". I insisted that we leave right after as it could not possibly get any cooler than that.
