Members Vince
I want a new fuzz. Fuzz face or Tonebender. Gnarly, beefy, fat fuzz. Not smooth or tasteful. To go into an AC30 (topboost channel) either on its own, or through a Visual Sound Open Road with a tele, a strat and very occasionally a Les Paul. Marvellous
Members mrperson
I've always loved the sound of my Fredric FX Unpleasant Companion with BMP tone circuit, very gnarly sounding (it gets a lot of use).
Members trainbridge
MkIII or a Ge fuzz face. My suggestion would be a fulltone soulbender or a '69. Not too terribly gnarly (the soulbender can get kinda get there) on their own but when stacked with another OD or fuzz.....They {censored} {censored} up. Members who235
I just got an EQD Tone Reaper. It's awesome.
Members fuzzio
Fuzz faces aren't that gnarly. I would try a tonebender with bias control or maybe even an octave fuzz.

Members H.P. Lovecraft
I'm really digging the versatility of Musket Fuzz. But I also have my eye on the new Analogman SunBender 1.
Members Vince
I've played with the octave fuzz on my M13 and it's great, but I think I'd rather try a straight up nasty fuzz. Who is this Aaron who makes the MKII? Fuzz faces aren't that gnarly. I would try a tonebender with bias control or maybe even an octave fuzz. Members thom
We get about a dozen of these threads a day...I never get tired of 'em:) A buncha fuzz peds that are on my radar currently, but haven't tried yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXXIIaG_A_U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcAQ9KTW494
Guest Guest
Fuzzfaceless and Skinpimp make my favorite tonebenders - gnarly stuff. I'd recommend a MkII for a Vox over a fuzz face, but if you go the fuzz face route, Analogman makes my favorite.
Members thom
Edit: I know neither of those are very fuzz face-like or tone bender-y, but they're sure as hell nasty, right?
Members HeartfeltDawn
Throbak Overdrive Boost. Far more versatile than any Tonebender I've had, beats the Musket by a long way, will do a major Muff-like fuzz through to Tonebender sounds courtesy of the EQ, excellent as an overdrive as well. Wish I hadn't sold mine, will get another one day.
Members misterstomach
I don't have a lot of experience with ff or tonebenders, but i got to jam a DAM meathead deluxe for awhile and i know it's fuzz face based and sounds exactly like what your talking about. {censored}ing awesome pedal. They're real spendy, but there's cheaper clones out there. I also briefly had an EQD tonereaper that was really dreamy on some amps, but didn't get along well with mine. Members crohny
Dunwich Amps FAC OFF if you want a fuzz face variant on steroids.
Members misterstomach
Some of the pedals being mentioned aren't actually fuzz pedals. The elements, for example, while being able to get fairly fuzzy, is a distortion and excels at being one. Black forest i'm pretty sure isn't actually a true fuzz either. Members eti
Try a Joyo Ultimate Octave / Voodoo Octave It's really not an octave fuzz unless u mod it.

Black Forest is more of a fuzz than a distortion. Elements isn't a fuzz that's for sure.

Members BHz_econo
holes in your speaker is the best fuzz Yeah but that only works with the really expensive ones. Just how gnarly are we talking? this is my favorite at the moment - [video=youtube;6rCJLT-imj8]

Members Vince
How gnarly? I dunno. I want something noticeably different from a pleasant overdrive/distortion, but still musical. Not Fuzz Factory velcro fuzz, but not too smooth.
