Members BrentMpls
Has anyone hear experienced a noticeable change in tone with your germ fuzz pedlulz when you have a temp change? I was thinking about this recently as I have my window open and the temp has varied greatly over the last few weeks. Some almost freezing nights and 70+ days. *flashes the hiwatt bob signal* perhaps a demo is in order. I'm sure HWB wouldn't mind throwing one of his irreplaceable fuzzes in the freezer and then in the oven to sate my curiosity.
Members V
I've left a germanium fuzz out in a garage when it got cold and the thing barely made a sound until it thawed out.
Members Fender&EHX4ever
Lots of componentS are affected by temperature changes, but germanium is notorious.
Members A.P. Ryder
My germ fuzzes sound better in the summer (seriously), if that tells you something.
Members rileykill
Yep. I had an awesome Monsterpiece germ fuzz that sounded terrible if it got cold. Finally took it off the gigging board because it totally screwed me a couple of times during shows. Sounded awesome for recording tho.
