Members Beyer160
I've got an AL-3000 w/P-90s and an AL-3100 (only difference is inlays) w/ buckers- seriously nice guitars, not just "for the money". The standard AL neck is kinda like an Epi neck- somewhere between the Gibson '50s and '60s profile. I think they're 1/16" narrower, too. I really like the AL3K stock alnico pickups, the AL2Ks are ceramic. This chart gives you the differences between the 2K and the 3K:http://www.rondomusic.com/alspec.html
Members Dinosaur Sr.
Always hear good things about the Agile guitars, are the Rondo SX guitars in the same boat? Or are they junk?
Members big_cat
SX is way {censored}tier in my experience.
Members RoboPimp
I agree, the SX are no where near the same league
Members Beyer160
The AL-3100 I bought new was almost perfect out of the box, the SX GG1Jr I bought new needed a LOT of work, and still isn't anywhere near the quality of the Agiles. Members Moustache_Bash
Well, I ordered this one: 'Cuz it's a wide neck one. Don't care much for the looks, but if it plays nice and stays in tune I will be a very happy boy. PS Poly, I will post back in a week with my thoughts 'cuz I know you value my opinion. Members BAXANDALL
Has anyone ever tried the Agile AD-2300? I've had an interest in these for a while. I had one of those and sold it to fatsoforgotso. It was decent and really good for the price. I do like the al-3000 better though.
Members ChainsawCharlie
My son and I both have AL2000's. We like the way they play, sound and look. Well worth the money.
Members warmeverest
the new ones come with graph tech tusq nuts, graph tech bridge with string saver saddles, and grover tuners. pretty crazy for how cheap you can get them. Whoa, really? I might have to look into getting my next guitar from rondo.
Members tommyld
Aesthetically, a lot of them look spot on...until I get to the headstock (if it has binding and/or that symbol). The AD-2300 is really tempting. Could do without the inlays...but yum!
Members RUExp?
The look of a lot of their LP style models are ruined by abalone inlays.
Members -Norge-
I've had an al-3500 for about 7 years now and it's still my go to guitar! great guitar for the money. Mine came with seymour duncan pickups and locking tuners on it, but i imagine those would probably be the things to upgrade if it were needed. It now has a pickguard on it but here's a photo:

Members p0lymath
Very stoked to hear so many positive reviews. I'd really love to play one before I invested though. Sounds great so far though.

Agreed, thus the AL-3100 with MOP. However, I scored a good deal on an AL-3000 and realized I don't spend that much time looking at the fretboard anyway. Members tommyld
So is there a big difference between overall quality/playability between the 2000 and 3000 series? I mean, I know the listed differences (3-piece body vs. 2-piece) and electronics/wiring. But I'm more interested in general build quality. Tempted to snatch up the AL-2000 kit. Members Zappa74
First off: want... Secondly, it looks like they have a new special edition 3000 series. Alnico pickups, upgraded electronics and an ebony board for $299. abalone inlays are kinda gross though..
