If he has any hope of making it in the amp biz, he needs to give Grubgoat his amp. He needs to eat some public crow and make things right. Otherwise, he's no better than Cameron. I think that He did make pretty good amps, but his love for pictures of little kids ruined his business, his brain, and his life. You talk about Karma! I'm sure that He was very popular with the weight lifters in prison. The toughest guys in Prison HATE child molesters, and I'm sure that they knew what his crime was before He ever got off of the bus.Plus, Princeton is not the kind of town that would take kindly to what He did. Which is CRAZY! If true. A google search DOES draw the same conclusions as "ajay taylor" mentions above, same name, same charges, same area. Whoa. For anyone that missed the detail (this is a long, boring thread), NO, I did NOT get all by money back, I sent him $1600, and only got $1200 back. I repeat this only to lay out the facts, I'm in no way bitter or whatever. $400 is a *GREAT* price for a relevant life lesson, and this sh1t was 10 years ago now. I've saved 10,000 times that amount since then just from knowing "when its too good to be true". So, Thank you, Carl, you should have been a financial planner... I'm not proud of calling the man certain "names" over the internet in this thread (I'm ABSOLUTELY not afraid to call you things to your face, but calling names on the internet or in a rap song is for sad effing losers), but in an odd twist it appears (based on the post above) that he has become both of the things I called him. And that's all I'll say, there's nothing cool or comical about that crime, none at all... and honestly $400 isn't enough money to warrant "what happens to ChoMos in prison", ahem... Anyway, I STILL have that stupid Banshee 50. I got it out about 3 years ago, and got a nice "Live At Leeds" kinda sound going. Then I let it sit a while, and the next time I powered it up, *POOMPH*, the amp sparked and firework-smoke started rolling out of the thing. I know of a local tech that could get it running. But it will stay dead for now. Bye bye. Before that, though, it was a pretty rad sounding amp, and for anyone who reads all this and says "why would that grubby fool send this guy money in the first place?", I'll answer BECAUSE, I had a *great* product in hand, I had an internet rife with reviews and sound clips and testimonials (by which I mean other guys who were validating my own decision every few days in various posts on the net), plus an affable builder who had no problems telling me what I wanted to hear. And I was 25 years old or so, and naive. Like you never were... I mean, I understand, YOU are far too smart to be taken in by that sh1t. By the way, would you like to buy my Ali-Baba stock? Its a bargain, and the *billions* of dollars they're *sure* to make in the future can be yours to claim... Anyway, now that Carl is "gone", I feel better about this thread than ever. NOW its NOT about one guy. Its about YOU, YOU the person on the internet who reads about some hype new amp or pedal and you just *KNOW* in your gut that you have to have it, that the builder is the real deal, and a great guy, etc. Stop. Stop now. Just STOP. One guy in this thread coined the awesome term - Don't Get Zwengled!!!
