Members gafyagaton
if you get lucky after wishing upon a falling star and find a used KMD solid state head with 2 6l6 tubes...... GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only other one I've seen went for $200 (musicians classifieds). Listen to "I'd die for you" by bonjovi and tell me that tone aint worth every cent of $200. If that aint a KMD.... shoot my dog dead!!My band sounds like that now (minus the technique). JOVI fans...... tell me to my face that aint a KMD. DOOOO ITTTTTT if you dare!!! I will never get rid of my KMD (though I sometimes joke as If I will). DONT EVEN TRY TO ROB ME!!!!!!! (disclaimer: nothing can replace a 2ube preamp)

Members SLfreak
I'm partial to the Valvestate, too. Better through a 1960 cab than a Valvestate cab though...
Members PompeTron_9000
I've seen both the B-52 LG-100A and Marshall G100R go for below $150.00 on ebay and either are a no-brainer to me at that price. A Marshall valvestate i've seen go for right around $200.00 and I would consider that a great bargain as well.

Members Chrisjd
Look into the line 6 spider II's, they are extremely versital, have built in tuners, and you can get a basically new, used 120 watt head for probably $200-$250.
Members tlbonehead
Guitar Research or the new Hartkes, which look to be about the same thing. The GR model is surprising.

Members Paragraph51
There are some killer older Crate SS amps. The best of them is the G1500, the GX series has a ton more gain though. If you need that, The GX2200 and GX130C.
Members xMadiMx
Originally posted by anomaly Never heard of them. How do you know they have the same cicuitry as the old Randall's? Because the guys who made the boards ect for it also made them for the head dime used and they told us so at NAMM.
