Members Giga
To be honest I already like the new rules now. Quite refreshing to see a whole page without all the spam topics... Giga.
Members diddlybo
Holy crap who would've thought that a bunch of gear heads talking about common interests could cause so much drama? There's really not that much important stuff going on here. Nobody's killing babies and nobody's curing cancer. Just a bunch of guys who like guitars talking about stuff. I don't understand the uproar over spam threads. Porn stuff, yeah, I get it. Spam threads, I don't see the potential damage. But hey, its not my forum! I'm sure that I have a standing invitation from GC anf MF to go {censored} myself and the horse I rode in on.

I think it's pretty fair), I fully agree with this sentiment above. There has been way too much "this is my house" attitude from *both* sides. The fact remains that the popularity and the patrons of this community are what has built it into what it has become. The fact also remains that the ownership provides the funding to support this board's infrastructure, maintenance, and operation without which we'd be wondering why the only site content was a nice big '404'. Both sides are useless without each other and there has to be respect and a willingness to compromise by all.
Members Cowinacape
Monthy spam thread seems to be fine, use the search find what you are looking for carry on, subscribe to the thread and get updates when somehting new is added, fairly simple.Personaly I like the idea of a dedicated Spam forums (peeps in charge *hint hint*)
Members dmtnt
I think dedicated spam forums would be ideal, i.e. TGP's setup.

Or the good discussions that come out of some? OR you find out when of your best bro bros is needy, and you can buy it from him, and sell it back to him when things get better. I may be coming tiresome to some of you, I apoligize. But really, the only thing I am doing is making sure each and every one of us realizes that sure, we can give our input, but we should understand things that maybe we don't always think about. The only response to my questions have been either "because" or "bandwidth". Neither is entirely acceptable, imvho. It's not about "searches". That you can already do. But you can't account for the other things I mentioned once the random spam is not allowed or deleted, or spearately forumed.
