anything off of "Through the Ashes of Empires". Imperium especially...not only is it a friggin awesome song, but it's also a damned good workout towards the end of the bridge. a lot of the patterns they use in those runs are not standard, at least they don't seem so to me. frickin AWESOME practice exercises.

I much prefer a 6 string for B tuning. I hate how big and clunky 7 strings are.

I know what you mean, but what Im saying is the use of open strings seems to be pretty often and sometimes without that possibility it is impossible to play a part (playing notes on a string while playing open one(s) strings or fast pieces...)
