Members pol
I just put one in my Dean Time Capsule Z (explorer body), and the guitar sounds way thicker now then with the Dimarzio Superdistortion that was in there. The JB sounds really chunky and way fat in that guitar, and tuned lower it sounds like a bulldozer tearing down the walls. Members Randy Van Sykes
The JB works perfect in some guitars...in some it does not.
Members Extasyguy
My guess is that people are using the wrong pots with it. It sounds best with 500K pots.

Never tried that! I just know that I don't like it with standard 500K HB pots because of that big spike in the mid-highs, and the low end is a bit lacking. Never could understand why it was a popular pickup.
Members Megadeth7684
The JB sounds awesome in low tunings like C and B. I've yet to play a pickup that doesn't have enough bass. I hate using a ton of bass anyways.
Members yabba
I don't think the JB has too little bass, I think it has too much highs and upper mids
Members soc_monki
i didnt like the JB at all in my PRS. sounded muddy and undefined. weird i know. sold it to a buddy and put it in his Aria Pro II and it sounded really sweet. go figure! put a JB Jr. in my MIM Squier Strat and its awesome as well. like some people said, the JB works in some guitars, and in others it doesnt work at all. i think i like the tone of the Duncan Distortion better though
