Great to see this thread. I'm still, at heart, sourced from old school hardcore. The first show I ever went to was The Abandoned, Wasted Youth, and the Circle Jerks. I got to see a lot of the old school bands at one time or another.

I'm really into seminal old school hardcore, and the experimental hardcore {censored}.

Some of my favorites. The Stains from East L.A,; one of the best unherralded bands ever. Amazing guitar player in the Stains. Also, China White, also great guitar.

Also,
VOID (Bubba Dupree rules!)
Social Unrest ('Rat in a Maze'!)
MIA (the earlier stuff is excellent, a la the 'MIA/Genocide' release)
DK's (I'm into the first three records the most)
Sin 34
The Germs ("G.I" and the "What We Do Is Secret e.p." are classics)
TSOL (the first two records and the 45's..)
Black Flag (I'm from the pre 'My War" camp, tho I like the jazzier stuff a lot too).
the Adolescents (the 'blue album' and the 45's from that period.)
old Bad Religion
old Social Distortion
old Christian Death
45 Grave ('Black Cross/Wax" made me a black punx disciple for a while. Excellent hardcore)
Wasted Youth
Old and mid Husker Du
SOA (the one with Henry Garfied singing, aka Rollins)
Minor Threat
Bad Brains (pre- "I against I". Even tho I like the later stuff a lot too.)
some Circle One
Flipper (both the greatest and worst band ever. I think they belong in this list. Some might disagree)
Fang
Battalion of Saints
some Blast (great live band)
some HR
There are other bands, like JFA, MDC, the Necros, Ill Repute, DOA, early Seven Seconds (!), the Faith, Mad Society, and many more that had some great stuff as well.

Of all of these, IMO bands like M.I.A., Social Unrest, China White, and the Stains are far too often neglected.

Ah man...Sick Of It All are the third best band I've ever seen! Only beaten by Subhumans and KILLING JOKE!

they are up there for me but really H2O, Gorilla Biscuits, Murphys Law and Ignite are all on par or better live than SOIA.

Oh man...CDC hahahaha

I swear to god Ive seen them once a month for the past year and a half. The only member that has been there every time is John, the drummer. They will switch members mid-set sometimes.

My old band played 2 dates of that CDC/on a warpath/fight like hell tour also.
