Members khastra_ksc
From my experience the Ruby EL-34BSTR and "Winged C's" are the tightest sounding EL-34... But I have very limited experience. What you think?

What you think? my limited experience, agrees with your limited experience:thu: i'll take the =C= over the STR because it just sounds way better over all, but there's a slight chance the STR are tighter? the STR's i had were getting pretty tired? Members shredhead34
+1 for Winged C's as far as true EL34s go KT77s are extremely tight, but have a different vibe than true EL34s

Members skunky_funk
=C= EL34 - best "basic" EL34Ruby EL34 - slightly looser than =C= but tight nonethelessElectro-Harmonix EL34EH - best "middle-of-the-road" EL34JJ EL34 - =C='s with stiffer feel (or some say it has more headroom)JJ E34L - quite chunky on the lows for an EL34, and distorts when you're playing loud I do have to try these: E-H 6CA7EH and JJ KT77
